The History of Diner En Blanc

The epicurean event was created in 1988 by a Frenchmen named Froncois Pasquier. He invited a group of his friends to an outdoor dinner party in Paris with a few simple requirements. Everyone had to wear formal white attire, be able to enjoy good grub, tasty wine, and the fabulous company of friends. It was all about the elegance and etiquette of an event. Oh, and he didn’t reveal the location until the last minute.

Attire:

All guests are required to wear White (no exceptions). Feel free to accessorize as much as desired (e.g. Fascinators, Hats, Jewelry, Headbands, etc).  Flat shoes are suggested as La’ Vino Dinner en Blanc will be held on the back courtyard.  Rain or shine, La’ Vino Dinner en Blanc will go on. Remember to bring a white or transparent raincoat, poncho and/or umbrella just in case.

*All sales are final and no refunds will be issued once your ticket is purchased (no exceptions).

Items Needed:

1. Folding Table (Must be square table measuring between 27” and 32”)

2. White Table Cloth

3. White Folding Chair (Chair covers are acceptable)

4. White Plates, Wine Glasses, white napkins, silverware

5. Table Décor (Highly Recommended) – Lights, fans, flowers, etc.

*All items that are not being utilized must fit under your table or placed back in your vehicle. No items will be allowed to remain out if its not being used on your table.

La’ Vino Wine Bar will not furnish tables, chairs, tablecloths, or table decor. This is the responsibility of the attendee.

You must take all items with you at the end of La’ Vino Dinner en Blanc. Any items left behind will be disposed of by La’Vino.

*No personal alcohol or wine will be allowed but wine can be purchased from La’ Vino Wine Bar by the Bottle only, with a maximum of two bottles per adult.

Setup will open from 9:00 AM-2:00PM and you may leave your items but they are not the responsibility of La Vino Wine Bar. We will close the Gate promptly at 2:00PM and no other setup will be allowed.
